These services are offered by the practice and are accessed by making an appointment with the practice nurses.
Practice Nurse
Childhood immunisation, cervical smears, Family Planning, smoking cessation advice and Flu/Pneumococcal vaccination. New patient health checks, lifestyle advice, hypertension monitoring, diabetic checks and Spirometry.
Nurse Led Clinics
Practice nurses will also see patients who suffer with Asthma/COPD, Diabetes, Coronary Heart Disease, Hypertension and Depression and will manage the care of these patients. The nurses will refer patients back to a doctor if necessary. The practice expects to see patients suffering from these diseases at least once a year if the disease is well controlled, more frequently if not.
Practice Services
Child Health Surveillance
Clinics are held every Thursday afternoon. The first appointment for your baby will be with a doctor for an 8-week assessment and then immunisations will be given by a Practice Nurse. A trained member of staff will also be present to weigh and measure your baby.
Please note - There is no longer a health visitor present at the clinic.
You will be sent an appointment by the surgery. Please try to keep to your appointment time to avoid delays.
